Emily  is  a  theater   maker   and   comedian   specializing   in the   areas   of   cabaret   and   character   creation.

a  natural  performer, emily is drawn to transforming  into 'the other; the character'.

With  years  of  MC (MAster of Ceremonies), Comedy  and   cabaret   experience,  emily  loves  audience  interaction  and  strives  to entertain  and  provoke  through  her  own  style  of  character  performance.

Originating from Australia, Emily now resides in Portland, Oregon and works as a performer specializing in comedic characters. This summer, she reprised her title role as Frank, in her solo show 'Frank: to be Frank' as part of CoHo Summerfest (OR). Directed by Deanna Fleysher (aka Butt Kapinski), Frank: to be Frank has toured to the east coast of America and will soon be seen at the Vancouver Fringe Festival. Last season at Oregon Children's Theatre, she made her Winningstad debut as the Traveler in The Miraculous Performer of Edward Tulane. Offstage, Emily works as a Teaching Artist for the Educational Theatre Program in collaboration with Kaiser Permanente. Emily holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Ensemble-Based Physical Theatre from Dell’Arte International in California, and is passionate about character-driven work, interactive theater experiences, and storytelling. In her spare time, Emily enjoys reading, petting dogs, and eating Pho.
